Organic Chickpeas of Benessence are dried organic chickpeas belonging to the legume family, they are among the most consumed, but above all rich in beneficial nutrients. They contain fiber and vegetable proteins, as well as Omega 3 fatty acids, mineral salts and vitamins. Thanks to their energetic properties they are excellent for the preparation of first courses, side dishes and to accompany boiled or grilled fish. Chickpeas do not contain gluten and are therefore also indicated for those suffering from celiac disease. It is recommended, before cooking, the chickpeas should be rinsed and soaked in cold water for 6-8 hours, changing the water at least once. Rinse the legumes before and after soaking to remove any impurities. Cooking time of about 1 hour and a half, with cooking water: legume ratio = 3: 1. It may contain traces of sesame and nuts.
